Buying Baby Accessory – A Brief Guideline

Buying Baby Accessory – A Brief Guideline

For new moms and moms-to-be buying toys and accessories for their babies is a tough task. What to buy and what not – the tug of war continues. Sometimes moms ignore shopping toys thinking her baby is too young to play with toys. But mothers should know that just like baby clothing, bedding cribs, and bath and toilet accessories toys are also important for infants. Toys play a key role in the growth of your baby.

Buying Baby Accessory

Whether you buy baby gear or something more serious such as toiletries, cribs and beddings you need to shop carefully. Most of the baby boutiques and shops demand that they sell the best baby product, if not all. It is understood that every parent wants everything best for their baby.

As you browse the market you will find there are literally numerous options waiting for you. Be careful while shopping as most of the baby products look attractive with bright colors and innovative designs. Instead of look quality is what should be taken into consideration whenever you buy a baby accessory.

For professional mothers time is a constraint. You may not find much time to visit the market and browse through the shops. In that case, you have online baby gear stores to shop for. Log on to internet. Most of the baby boutique and baby product shops have their online presence as well. Browse their websites. From baby bedding and clothing to parental care products and guidance you get everything online these days.

Baby Crib Bedding

Baby crib is the most important and foremost thing to buy as soon as you return from the hospital with the new born in your lap. Modern baby cribs bedding sets are really eye-catching with exotic color combination and theme oriented design. Check for blankets, mattress, pillows and bed sheets – a standard baby bedding set should contain all these things. A baby sleep positioner is optional.

Bassinets

Specially designed bassinet is the safest option for your infant. A gliding bassinet is what your baby will love to sleep in.

Bathtubs

Bath tub is the next essential thing after cribs or bassinets. Your baby’s bathtub should be designed in a way that bathing becomes a fun for the toddler. It should be convenient to use and durable. Light-weight portable baby bathtubs featuring multiple colors, cute animal or underwater theme paintings or carvings are available in the market.

Baby Bathing Robes & Towels

Next come bathing robes and towels. Bathrobes for babies come in various sizes, colors and styles. The fabric needs to soft so that it doesn’t hurt the delicate skin. If you don’t have much knowledge about fabric stick to cotton made robes. Towels should be large enough to wrap your baby after bath so that she feels warm and the water gets soaked instantly.

Toys

Give your baby toys to play with. There are various types of baby toys that encourage activities and movements of hand, legs and body. If you are thinking of baby’s safety then soft toys are always there for you. With bright colors, funny shapes and soft texture soft toys are a delight to any baby.

Toys and accessories are necessary to keep your toddler active and playful. Activities lead to healthy growth. So, bring your baby toys that are safe and attractive enough to keep her engaged. And she’ll grow healthy.

Help answer the question about baby accessories

What is the best way to store baby accessories like hats and socks?
I am getting the nursery ready, and am trying to think of a conveniant way to store all of baby's hats, socks, and bibs, etc.

I ran out of drawer space.

How do you store these things in a conveniant way?

As many people have already mentioned, I always put that little stuff into baskets when my kids were babies. It drove me mad trying to find little things like socks in a dresser drawer. I got a bookshelf at the office store and a bunch of baskets and loaded the whole thing up with baskets. I labeled the sides of all the baskets so I could find everything easily.

The other thing you should do is get you a bunch of those lingerie bags with the zippers. Whenever you take off the baby's socks or mittens put them in the bag. Then just wash the whole bag. Otherwise it is a nightmare to find those in the laundry.

You should rinse everything after it's used and before it starts drying – it's much easier to wash that way!

Diaper cakes are more of a special order item, so probably wouldn't sell very well at a craft fair. You could have one or two made and then hand out business cards for people to call you and order one for a baby shower or event.

Things like hair bows, wall letters, etc… would probably do really well. People really are suckers for baby stuff (me included!) Homemade fleece hats and mitts for the winter would probably sell too.

    Good luck!

A large diaper bag, a nice lidded basket, an inexpensive doll bed (with the clothes in a basket or bag) would all work. You can add to the clothing and accessories by buying tiny baby clothes, socks, hats, furniture, even the diaper bag and basket at garage sales and second-hand shops. Discount places and Wal-Marts also sell some pretend baby bottles, etc. The kids don't care if that stuff is from the Bitty Baby company or not.
Order early, just in case they run out.
You can sometimes find good prices on the discontinued clothing on ebay.
She will be so happy to see that baby this Christmas. What fun!
