How To Pick The Right Baby Stroller
No baby stroller is going to be great for everything you’ll do in the coming years. So, take a little time thinking about what you most need… many parents discover that one good-quality lightweight stroller for errands and travel, combined with one llers-cln-Single-cln-All-dsh-terrain/Categories”>jogging stroller or full-sized stroller, is a great match for all needs!
FROM WOMB TO WHEELS – AGE PLAYS A ROLE
- Birth to six months is the period where your child doesn’t have adequate head and neck control for an upright stroller. You’ll need to find a stroller onto which you can attach your infant seat, one that has a bassinet, or one rated for newborns.
From 6+ months and older, the stroller world really opens up to you! Unless your baby has special needs, she or he can ride in nearly any stroller out there.
Caution when jogging! Pediatricians warn against too much jarring until your baby has very good head/neck control, usually 8 to 10 months.
WALK MUCH?
- If you’ll be using a stroller daily for more than just going from your car into a store, you’ll love having one that is comfortable and smooth to push. Neighborhood walks and paths are so much more enjoyable with a great rolling stroller.
This is where trying out hands-on pushing is tough to replace with online browsing. If purchasing online, be SURE you read reviews on how a stroller pushes and handles prior to making a purchase (on PeppyParents.com, we’ve already done all that work for you!).
Generally, larger wheels mean easier pushing. Real rubber tires mean better handling. Suspension (shock absorbers) mean smoother ride. On-board engines mean less work (okay, we made up the one about the engine).
If you don’t intend to use a stroller as much more than a car-into-store-back-to-car device, it’s not as critical to worry about the ride.
SIZE MATTERS! AND SO DOES WEIGHT.
- The lightest good quality stroller available is around 8 pounds — about the weight of a gallon of water. And, full-sized, full-featured strollers can tip the scales past 30 pounds.
Think about how often you’ll be lifting the stroller up stairs, into your car, or into a closet. If it’s something you’ll be doing daily, try to balance weight with features and performance.
Generally speaking, lighter weight strollers have less features and a less refined ride. They’re typically smaller and might have a less comfortable seat for your baby. The lightweights might also lack some convenient adjustments too. The ONLY reason to get an ultra lightweight (i.e., under 10 pounds) stroller is for frequent car errands or travel.
If you find a full-featured, full-size standard stroller that is under 20 pounds, you’re doing very well. Most are under 25 pounds.
Expect the very lightest all-terrain stroller to tip the scales at 20 pounds, as well as the very lightest joggers. Most are under 25 pounds.
As far as size, look at the folded size when making your decision. Even if weight is the same, it’s much easier to lift, carry, and store a stroller that is less bulky when folded.
AND NOW, THE FEATURE PRESENTATION
All the features are where it really gets more confusing, as no stroller has all of them. Here are some of the more popular ones:
- Reverse handle or seat — this lets you face your baby as you push. Very sweet.
- Cupholder — if not included, don’t despair! You can buy universal-fit cupholders.
- Storage basket — you’re going to need it for snacks, diapers, wipees, bottles. The bigger, the better.
- Sun Canopy — unless you live deep in a shaded forest, sun protection is very important. Bigger sun canopies provide better protection.
- Adjustable handle — very important for parents who are under 5′3″ or taller than 6″. A nice feature for all other parents.
- Reclining seat — some strollers are easier to recline than others.
- 5-point harness — safety is paramount, and this is the safest type of harness.
- Adjustable legrest — one more way to make it more comfortable for your growing child.
- Bumper bar — (also called grab bar, toy bar) handy for securing toys in front of your baby while you stroll. Toddlers enjoy it too.
- Snack tray– popular on American brands, but not on many others.

GOD BLESS YOU
i just brought that stoller my baby is 2 months
When she's able to have control of her head and set up on her own about 6 months.
It dosen't fold like an unbrella stroller but it's very small and compact, one hald fold, reclines and I can't remember if it's a 3 or 5 point harness. The Jeep Cherokee stroller, they have them everyone now and I got mine at Wal-Mart for about 50. Good luck!
could my baby sleep in it,or just sit?
Racists like you shouldn’t be commenting if all you’re going to do is hate.
I was wrong about the over 1 million videos, but they have over 130,000 videos and they upload 20 or more a day and they’ve been on Youtube since April 2006. I thought only private Youtubers uploaded multiple videos daily.
I Love this stroller
I registered about 6-7 months when people started asking and I asked for anything I honestly wanted. I just made sure to include all price ranges so no one felt as thought I was being too greedy or they couldn't afford a gift I liked! I got so many great things, some of which weren't even on my list!
Also, almost ALL stores will send out discount coupons for whatever wasn't purchased on your baby registry so register everywhere and just maybe list one or two on your baby shower invite! It's well worth it to get the discounts and save them for when you need them!

If it is the Travel System type, then it should be sufficient – Stroller and Car Seat. Looks like you just purchased it, if so, put a baby doll in it and see how it fits for the doll. It is common for most families to have at least 2 different types of strollers for their children. It's kinda like a car or tv – you always see one that fits your needs better.
But I do suggest, at least look into it, invest and buy an infant pillow that surrounds the baby's head while they are in a car seat or stroller. It is the shap of a U. This will add support to the baby's head while she is at rest and the stroller/car is moving.
Stop crying, you little bitch.
Goddamn man, white people always running and telling on people for no reason
Hands down, Graco!
They are easy to use, safe, and most of them are priced well.
You should go to a store where you have access to the products to play with them and see which ones you like.
I do not, under any circumstances, reccomend Evenflo or Eddie Bauer, they are both poor quality travel systems.
Within the Graco lines, the Safe Seat car seats hold up to 30 pounds. They also have the new Snugride 32 car seats go up to 32 pounds, I'm pretty sure those are sold as seperate pieces that can combine to be in a travel system though.
Could be that mom would be responsible. Maybe they'd cut her some slack if they watched the tape, unless it is a trick she taught the child, haha!
Funny thing is this actually happened to me with my daughter when she was a toddler. We were in a gift shop at a hotel and when we left I looked down and she was carrying the Baby Mouse from Fievel–that old cartoon where the Jewish mouse family came to America. So I had to go back and buy it because she thought it was hers and just kept screaming "Mousie Baby!" The woman behind the counter didn't think it was cute or funny at all and was very hostile at my klepto-baby. She is 20 now and still has her "Mousie Baby."
Someone needs to report this channel to Youtube because they have 1 million videos, 3/4 of them average less than 90 viewers per video(several having under 20 views each). I’ve only scanned through 415 pages of their videos and when I came across this one I noticed the date said October 23, 2008, and today is November 13, 2008. I think it’s pretty sad for someone to shoot and direct 20-25 videos daily and be constantly uploading them to Youtube almost 24/7.
