I'd hang on to the items. Baby items dont go out of style that quick. Just make sure all the toys and crib, high chair still meet the safety standards.

All that can be very expensive to buy. And with prices going up on everything, you can save alot of money if you keep it till you know for sure.

Im going to hang on to all of my sons stuff. I will part with some outfits.. and maybe some toys… but im going to keep the majority of it… till i know i dont want anymore kids.

    Best of luck

I can just imagine that kid when he’s older.
“Hey babe, i’m indestuctable. I was ran over my a train and yeah, I’m still here..”

Okay. Either that or he’ll be terrified of trains. Depends on the personality.

..Why’s everyone arguing? There’s no point, Can’t we just be happy for the Mom whether you believe in God or not? ^^’

A Baby Bjorn. Don't accept any imitations, they're the best. I didn't have one with my first child and I wished so badly that I did that for my second child (due in a couple weeks) I told my husband it was the one thing I wanted for this baby. I bought it months ago and it's sitting in the closet waiting for this baby to come.

And if your wife is planning to breastfeed, freezer storage bags for breastmilk are a MUST if she ever wants to get away (and it's healthy to), or if she gets sick. Have her stock the freezer and you'll always have it as a security. If you want to take your wife on a date and leave baby with the sitter, or if your wife gets sick and her milk supply drops, you have the comfort of knowing your baby is still getting the best nutrition possible. Of course, having freezer bags first requires a good breast pump.

I'd say get a travel system stroller/car seat set that way you have everything you need through toddler age.

As for a highchair, they make some that fold down to a very slim size, but I think folding and unfolding it every time would be a pain. They make the kind that strap into a normal dining room chair and they're smaller. Also, if you don't want to get a highchair right away you can just feed the baby in the car seat until he's too big for it.

If he's not going to sleep in your bed, I would opt for a pack n play sleep system. They're much smaller (and cheaper) than cribs and can double as a play pen and travel bed. Some even have a built in fold away changing table. Very handy.

As far as a changing table goes, you could just use the top of a dresser you already have in your home.

That's really all you NEED. If you want a swing, choose a table top travel swing so its small enough to put into the closet when you're not using it. If you're interested in a place to store the baby's clothes separate from your own dresser, get one of those hanging sweater shelves that hang in your closet. The slots are definitely big enough for baby's clothes and blankets and they run fairly cheap at target. Good luck!

like the other person said, i bought a monitor thinking id need one, but monitor or no monitor, i can hear that kid crying from a mile away! this ones kind of small, but the nose bulb, my son cries bloody murder when i use it on him, so that had to go. my sling, never got baby to fit in a comfortable position, that also had to go…and my pack and play was a huge waste of money. so far. but hes only 3 months so maybe hell use it eventually

One Step Ahead is definitely a great one for baby gear. They have some really neat stuff that you can't find other places. I think you will find that if you get on the mailing list for one of the catalogs, you will get several others that are similar.

The ABC catalog has some toys in it pretty cheap and sometimes they are older, wooden style toys.

As for clothes, a great website is BabyThreads Resale. They have new and used clothes at great prices!

I have a second hand one so it was free *lol*. My son loved it until he outgrew it. Even now it is in front of his crib and sometimes the lights and music put him to sleep.

Considering the hard use mine went through and still works perfectly and looks new, I would say that half the retail value would be fair, though I would try to pay less ;-) (BTW The fabric is VERY easy to clean! It slips right off!)

Also you might want to buy some rechargeable D batteries as all the kids toys seem to take that size.
